Travel Tech: Disney World Apps Part 2

Image via touringplans.com website
Today in Travel Tech, the Lines app from Touringplans.com is on the block.  This app started as a basic wait time app, and has added a multitude of features that are simple, effective, and available across almost any device you have including iOS, Android, Blackberry, and any phone with a mobile browser.  It's not free (app is free to download, $11.95 per year for access), but the small charge is well worth the functionality it provides.  Click on for the complete story!

Could Mickey actually be Greek?
Disney announced a slew of new itineraries today for 2013.  Although Disney cruises tend to be higher priced than their counterparts, the familiar characters and Disney magic are in every corner of the ship.

Is Cruising Safe?

I wasn't sure it was wise to comment on this at all, but so many people have asked about the Costa Concordia that I thought a quick article might be a good idea.  It is up to you whether you think cruising is the way to go.  The short answer to people who want my opinion is "Of course, and it is probably safer now than ever."

Travel Tech: Disney World Apps Part 1

Disney World Maps by VersaEdge Software
If you are anything like me, you have tethered yourself to a smart device of some sort, ad it goes everywhere with you.  Including on vacation.  Apps for these devices can be great traveling companions, especially at a place as internationally recognized as Walt Disney World.  With the vastness of the area (twice the size of Manhattan in area), it helps to have a great program to help you navigate rather than the paper maps people are frequently huddled over.

We're going to cover multiple apps, but today's focus is on Disney World Maps by VersaEdge Software.  It available on the iOS App Store (sorry Android devotees; your time will come) either free with ads or for the price of $2.99 ad-free.
